THE BIO STUFF
After graduating with a B.A., Communication from American University, I moved to Los Angeles. Dick Stratton, an exec with Metromedia Television, hired me for my first showbiz job as a page. That led to similar gigs on Norman Lear's MAUDE, GOOD TIMES and others. From there, I landed a full-time job with Norman's company, working on the production staffs of such shows as MAUDE, THE JEFFERSONS, and AMERICA 2NIGHT.
I sold my first script to one of Norman's shows and joined the Writers Guild. I've written for THE RUGRATS and had tv movie and feature film projects optioned.
Academically, I was the Program Director for AU's first-ever Summer in Los Angeles Program. For four summers, I taught screenwriting, conducted a Seminar class and oversaw student internships. THE WORK STUFF To cut to the chase, my brand is the true story - or a true story which sparked a given script - whether it's my dramas "Six Days Of Madness," "Rock On: The Del Shannon Story," "The Kill-Crazy Gang," "Get Up Off The Turf: The Doug Williams Story" my current project about a legendary football coach or my comedies "My Wall Street Journal," "Red-Handed," and "Killers On The Loose."
